IRANIAN HILLBILLY

Raised in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, the son of a Muslim Iranian father and Southern Baptist mother from Alabama explores the oppressive ideologies held by the village that raised him. Iranian Hillbilly is a feature documentary currently in development that attempts to make sense of the seemingly insurmountable divides that are a reflection of what the US is currently facing. This film will be a personal exploration as I attempt to understand the nuance within my cultural identities.
